Vol. 354 No. 4

Written Answers. - County Donegal School.

740.

asked the Minister for Education if she will state in relation to Fintown national school, County Donegal, when it is proposed to improve the water supply, provide a play area and erect a bus shelter.

My Department in January, 1979 sanctioned a grant towards the cost of connecting the school to a group water scheme. I understand that it was necessary to alter the original route of the pipeline to connect via the school chairman's residence, but that there is no problem with the actual water supply at present.

A play area was provided when the school was built I understand it is now in need of attention. On receipt of a formal application from the chairman of the board of management the matter will be investigated.

My Department does not grant-aid the eretion of bus shelters.
