asked the Minister for Social Welfare the amount paid in travelling expenses to each Minister of State from 1 November 1983, to 1 November 1984.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the amount paid to each civilian driver employed to drive the private cars of Ministers of State from 1 November 1983, to 1 November 1984.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 314 and 315 together.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the amount paid in travelling expenses to each Minister of State in his Department from 1 November 1983 to 1 November 1984.

The amounts paid in travelling expenses to the Ministers of State at the Department of Agriculture from 1 November 1983 to 1 November 1984 are as follows: (a) £22,177 to Deputy Paddy Hegarty and (b) £16,907 to Deputy Paul Connaughton.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the amount paid to each civilian driver employed to drive the private cars of Minister of State in his Department from 1 November 1983 to 1 November 1984.

The amounts paid to civilian drivers of the cars of the Ministers of State at the Department of Agriculture from 1 November 1983 to 1 November 1984 are as follows (a) £11,965 and £10,840 to drivers for Deputy P. Hegarty (b) £11,619 and £11,890 to drivers for Deputy P. Connaughton.
