Vol. 354 No. 10

Written Answers. - Return of Goods.

655.

asked the Minister for Finance if the slide projector and slides purchased in Dublin which were brought to Belfast by a youth project, the Youth and Community Exchange Trust, and were confiscated by the Customs at Connolly Station on their return on 23 November, will be returned without charge.

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the goods in question were not seized by Customs. The goods were imported unaccompanied, as merchandise. They were, accordingly, subject to the normal Customs entry requirement applicable to imported goods. Entry was presented to Customs on 3 December 1984, and they were released on the same date.
