Vol. 354 No. 10

Written Answers. - County Cork School.

665.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will request his Department to resolve the technical difficulties that are holding up the completion of work on Ballinspittle new national school, County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The new extension to Ballinspittle national school is occupied and the works to the existing school are nearing completion. In October 1984 the manager of the school signified his agreement with certain revisions to the plans for the front boundary and car parking which the local authority had requested. The manager intimated recently however that he wishes to discuss the matter further with the local authority before he reaches a final decision. This is holding up completion of all the site works but the Office of Public Works will do all it can to bring the contract to a satisfactory conclusion at the earliest possible date.
