Vol. 354 No. 11

Written Answers. - Ballymun (Dublin) Health Clinic.

612.

asked the Minister for Health if he is aware that the community welfare office in the Ballymun health clinic is not open to the public on Friday afternoons and that this can lead to hardship for families, particularly in cases where social welfare cheques fail to arrive in the post on Friday; if he will ensure that a community welfare officer is available to the public on Friday afternoon; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Community welfare officers are available at the Ballymun shopping centre and health centre offices on Friday mornings. On Friday afternoons they are engaged in other duties. In cases of emergency, assistance can be made available on Friday afternoons by applying to the superintendent community welfare officer in Ballymun health centre.
