Vol. 354 No. 11

Written Answers. - Milk Cessation Premium Scheme.

662.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will give a guarantee that each applicant for the milk cessation premium scheme will be accepted as participants in the scheme from the date of application.

663.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when he intends to notify applicants for the milk cessation premium scheme whether their applications have been accepted or not.

664.

asked the Minister for Agriculture in the event of a ballot decision as stated in the reply to Parliamentary Question No. 652 of 21 November 1984, to limit the number of participants in the milk cessation premium scheme, if he will give an undertaking that the unsuccessful applicants will retain their quota.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 662, 663 and 664 together.

The scheme has been over-subscribed so selection will be made by ballot at an early date. The successful applicants will be notified when the results of the ballot are known. Unsuccessful applicants under the scheme will retain their quotas.
