My Department on 27 April 1984 authorised the Commissioners of Public Works to arrange for the invitation of tenders for the extension to the school referred to by the Deputy. I understand from the Commissioners that tenders for the project are being examined in their office. It would not be open to my Department to authorise the placing of a contract until the Commissioners have reported the outcome of their examination. I am asking the Commissioners to expedite their report.
