asked the Minister for Agriculture the total number of farmers participating in the farm modernisation scheme and the number for each county categorised as: (a) commercial, (b) development, (c) other high, and (d) other low, on 31 December 1984.

The number of farmers admitted to the farm modernisation scheme up to 31 December 1984 was 105,974.

The following table lists the number of farmers in each county admitted to the scheme in the commercial, development and other categories up to 31 December 1984.
