Vol. 355 No. 8

Written Answers. - Income Tax Rebate.

418.

asked the Minister for Finance when a person (details supplied) in County Clare will be paid his income tax rebate which he applied for before Christmas.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer ceased employment on 22 November 1984. He applied for a review of his tax liability for the year 1983-84 on 26 November 1984. He applied for a review of his tax liability for the year 1983-84 on 26 November 1984. Details of the review, which revealed a small overpayment, have been sent to the taxpayer and a cheque in settlement should reach him shortly. The inspector has not received a claim for repayment from the taxpayer in respect of the current year, 1984-85.
