asked the Minister for Communications the total capital expenditure on air navigation services in 1984; and the areas in which it was spent.

Total capital expenditure in 1984 on air navigation services amounted to £206,654.

The expenditure arose on interim and final payments on contracts for the provision of communications equipment at Shannon Aeradio Station, County Clare, electronic test equipment at Dublin, Cork and Shannon Airports, primary radar at Dublin Airport, replacement of radar antennae at Cork Airport and the re-equipping of the new message switching computer at Shannon Aeradio.
