Order of Business.

It is proposed to take Nos. 9 and 10. By agreement, proceedings on Second Stage of item No. 9 Will be brought to a conclusion not later than 8.30 p.m. today and the Minister for Health shall be called on to conclude not later than 8.10 p.m.

Would the Taoiseach make a statement to the House on the result of secret negotiations that took place last Friday morning in Government Buildings between the top people of Chevron Gulf and Dr. Tony O'Reilly of Atlantic Resources?

Does he intend to inform the House of the situation?

The Deputy is out of order. I trust that the Taoiseach will not put himself out of order.

I am only asking him if he will make a statement.

Could I raise on the Adjournment the refusal by insurance companies to cover the contents of flats and apartments in the Cork area, and I presume, throughout the country and——

Does the Deputy wish to raise this on the Adjournment?

Yes — and the worry experienced by people who suffer loss.
