asked the Minister for Education when her Department will issue aproval to Meath VEC for stage 6 of Nobber vocational school, County Meath.

The position in relation to Nobber vocational school is that bills of quantities for the proposed new school there have been submitted by the County Meath Vocational Education Committee. These bills are now undergoing detailed examination and when this examination is completed my Department will be in touch with the committee regarding the invitation of tenders.

asked the Minister for Education when her Department will issue approval to Meath VEC for stage 5 of Athboy vocational school, County Meath.

The position in relation to the proposed extension to Athboy vocational school is that bills of quantities have been submitted for the project by the County Meath Vocational Education Committee. These bills are now undergoing detailed examination and when this examination is completed my Department will be in touch with the committee regarding the invitation of tenders.

asked the Minister for Education when her Department will issue approval to Meath VEC for stage 3 of Oldcastle vocational school, County Meath.

Developed design proposals have been submitted for the proposed extension to Oldcastle vocational school by the County Meath Vocational Education Committee. Examination of these proposals is now nearing completion and my Department will be in touch with the committee at an early date to authorise the preparation of working drawings.

asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in the sanctioning of the extension to a school (details supplied) in County Meath; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

The position in relation to the school in question is that developed design proposals have been submitted for the project by the school authorities. Examination of these proposals is now nearing completion and my Department will be in touch with the school authorities as soon as possible regarding further progress. There has been no avoidable delay on my Department's part in dealing with this case.

asked the Minister for Education when her Department will issue approval to Meath VEC for Stage 4 of Longwood vocational school.

My Department have recently approved the preparation of detailed design proposals for the proposed extension to Longwood vocational school. Submission of these proposals by the County Meath Vocational Education Committee is now awaited.
