Vol. 358 No. 6

Written Answers. - Louth Housing Applications.

560.

asked the Minister for the Environment the numbers of housing applications lodged with the Dundalk Urban District Council, the Louth County Council and Drogheda Corporation at 1 January for each of the last six years; the number of single parents, separated couples and family units who comprised these applications; and the number of applicants for the same periods who would qualify for OPD or small house dwellings.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply to his question on 15 February 1984 when I gave him the information then available to my Department in relation to the numbers of approved applicants for housing to Louth County Council, Drogheda Corporation and Dundalk UDC for the period 1979-82.

I would also refer him to my reply to his further question on 29 January 1985 giving the information available for the year ending 31 December 1983 in respect of Louth County Council and to my letter to him dated 26 April 1985 providing similar information for 1984. The number of elderly persons on the approved waiting list at 31 December 1983 and 31 December 1984 in respect of Louth County Council was 86 and 84 respectively.

The numbers of approved applicants to Drogheda Corporation and Dundalk UDC in respect of the years ending 31 December 1983 and 31 December 1984 and the categories involved are:
