Vol. 358 No. 12

Written Answers. - Clondalkin (Dublin) Paper Mills.

578.

asked the Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism when paper making will recommence at Clondalkin Paper Mills; the number of people that will be employed; and how the staff will be recruited.

I understand from the company who propose to operate the mill that they expect to be in a position in the near future to finalise the necessary issues involved and to exercise their option to purchase the mill. The company have informed me that they expect to employ 283 workers at full production. However, the manner in which these workers will be recruited is a matter for the company.
