Vol. 358 No. 12

Written Answers. - Garda Uniforms.

603.

asked the Minister for Defence if Garda overcoating cloth is wholly manufactured in this State, particularly the yarn from which it is made.

The Garda overcoating cloth currently on order following competitive tendering will be manufactured in the State but imported yarn will be used. Irish wool is generally not suited to the production of yarns for the type of material required.
