Limerick East): This is an application for first registration. There is a long delay in finalising applications of this kind in the Land Registry because of the complex nature of the examination of title necessary in processing them and because, also, of the large number of applications in relation to the number of staff available to deal with them. In addition, legal difficulties have arisen in the consideration of this application. It is being dealt with as quickly as possible.
