Vol. 359 No. 1

Written Answers. - Development Co-Ordinator Appointments.

367.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the appointment of a development co-ordintor for Dublin city and county as announced by him on 10 November, 1983.

Arising out of the announcement on this subject made on 18 November 1983 the following arrangements were introduced. Dublin Corporation assigned the relevant development co-ordination duties in their area to a principal officer and a temporary post at this level with similar responsibilities has been created in the county by the county council with my sanction, subject to suitable provision being made for liaison between the two officers concerned in relation to co-ordination in contiguous areas of the city and county. These arrangements are also subject to review in the light of developments on local government re-organisation.
