Vol. 359 No. 3

Written Answers. - Ballingarry (Tipperary) Mines.

543.

asked the Minister for Energy the progress that is being made in relation to the acquisition of the anthracite mines at Ballingarry, Thurles, County Tipperary; if any interested parties are negotiating at present for the lease of the mines; and, if so, when it is proposed to reopen the mines.

I understand that a number of parties are interested in acquiring the Ballingarry mines but that certain legal issues require to be settled before the receiver can deal with those interests. It is not possible for the receiver to say when those issues will be resolved.
