Vol. 359 No. 3

Written Answers. - Wexford Employment Exchange.

688.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare in view of the many promises made and the deferred strike by the officials in Annes Street employment exchange, if he can give a definite date as to when they will move into their new accommodation in Wexford; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Work on the fitting out of the new premises which will accommodate some staff from the exchange in question is at an advanced stage. There are still, however, some outstanding matters to be finalised between the Office of Public Works and the landlord of the premises regarding the final terms of the lease. While it is not possible at this time to give a definite date for the transfer of staff, it is hoped that this will take place at an early date.
