asked the Minister for Labour if he will consider extending, in certain cases, the one year limit of payment of the enterprise allowance scheme for such cases as that of a person (details supplied) in County Wexford where the future viability of the enterprise is in jeopardy.

The maximum period for which a person may participate in the enterprise allowance scheme is 52 weeks. The scheme is undergoing a review at present and all aspects of the scheme are being examined.
