Vol. 359 No. 4

Written Answers. - Membership of Cults.

40.

asked the Minister for Justice whether his Department received many complaints from parents and families of persons who have been drawn into cults such as the movement (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter.

(Limerick East): A very small number of complaints of the nature referred to by the Deputy have been received in my Department over the past number of years. In no case was any evidence disclosed which indicated that activity of a criminal nature had been engaged in by the religious sect in question.
