Vol. 359 No. 4

Written Answers. - Dundalk Vacant Factory.

107.

asked the Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism if he will make a statement as to the current position regarding the vacant factory building (details supplied) in County Louth; if it has been sold or is in the process of being sold for industrial or commercial development; and, if so, if he will state his Department's or the IDA's involvement.

I have been informed by the Industrial Development Authority that the vacant factory building in question is in the hands of a receiver since February 1983. The Receiver is continuing his efforts to sell the factory premises. Meanwhile, the IDA are continuing to bring the availability of the factory to the attention of promoters who are considering Dundalk as a location for a manufacturing project.
