Order of Business.

It is proposed to take No. 12 — Votes 1 to 2 and 7 to 18. By agreement the Dáil shall sit later than 9 p.m. today and not later than 12 midnight and business shall be interrupted at 11.30 p.m. Also by agreement statements on the report of the Dooge Committee, on European Union and on European developments generally may be made today immediately after the Order of Business subject to (1) no Member shall make more than one statement; (2) the statements of the opening speakers for the Government and Opposition parties shall not exceed 45 minutes; (3) the statement of each subsequent speaker shall not exceed 30 minutes; and (4) the concluding speaker, who shall be a member of the Government, shall be called not later than 6.30 p.m. Also by agreement the proceedings on Votes 1 to 2 and 7 to 18 shall be brought to a conclusion not later than 11.30 p.m. and the Minister for Finance shall be called on to conclude not later than 11.15 p.m. Also by agreement if a division is challenged on any Estimate today the taking of such division shall be postponed until 8.30 p.m. next Wednesday. Private Members' business shall be No. 25.

Are the arrangements for the late sitting agreed? Agreed.

Are the arrangements for statements today agreed? Agreed. Are the arrangements for disposing of item No. 12, Votes 1 and 2 and 7 to 18, inclusive, agreed. Agreed. I wish to remind Members that the postponed division on the Vote for the Department of Communications will be taken at 8.30 p.m.
