Projects are not submitted for EC funding until they are under construction or about to commence. I recently approved to preliminary report proposal for the Blackrock main drainage scheme (stage 2) and contract documents for the extension of the Ringsend treatment works (phase 2) and have asked the relevant sanitary authorities to advance the further planning of the schemes in order that they can go to construction as early as possible. The necessary submission for EC funding will be made at that stage.
