Vol. 360 No. 2

Written Answers. - Carrick (Donegal) Vocational School.

65.

Mr. Coughlan

asked the Minister for Education when approval of the bill of quantities submitted to the Building Unit on 29 March 1985, together with authorisation to proceed with the invitation of tenders for the execution of the works, will be given in relation to Carrick vocational school, County Donegal; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

The proposed extension to Carrick vocational school is one of a number of post primary school building projects at bill of quantities stage. A review of all such projects is being carried out at present to establish when they may proceed to the stage of seeking tenders. This review involves monitoring the flow of expenditure on ongoing contractual commitments in relation to available capital. The County Donegal Vocational Education Committee will be informed as soon as it becomes possible to sanction the seeking of tenders in this case.
