Farm Tax Bill, 1985: Financial Resolution.

I move:

That it is expedient to make provision for—

(a) the charging, levying and payment of farm tax in respect of every taxable farm for each year beginning with such year as may be prescribed by the Minister for the Environment by regulations, and

(b) the payment to the Farm Tax Commissioner in respect of certain appeals and applications, and to the Farm Tax Tribunal in respect of certain appeals, of fees of such amounts as may be prescribed by the Minister for Finance by regulations in such classes of cases as may be so prescribed,

under any Act of the present session to provide for a tax, to be known as farm tax, on certain agricultural land and to provide for connected matters.
