Vol. 361 No. 1

Written Answers. - Milk Quotas.

335.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when decisions will be given by his Department on the applications for registrations for lease of milk quotas between the dairy farmers; and if he will ensure that consideration of these applications is expedited in view of the obvious concerns of such farmers.

Decisions on the adjustment of milk quotas in respect of land leases are taken after the normal documentation relating to the legal transfer, evidence of payment and Land Commission consent, have been inspected and approved by Department officers. These decisions are made as quickly as possible after the necessary documents have been made available to the Department.
