Vol. 361 No. 2

Written Answers. - Oranmore (Galway) Sewerage Scheme.

43.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position with regard to the progress of planning for Oranmore sewerage scheme; if he will give a timetable for the remaining stages of plans for the scheme and an indication as to when construction of the scheme will commence; if he accepts that the new sewerage scheme is now urgently required and long over due; and if he will ensure that the remainder of the planning stages are drafted with expediency.

There are no proposals before my Department in respect of this scheme. The further planning of the scheme is a matter for the local authority and in that connection I understand that the preliminary report which had been approved by my Department some years ago is being revised by the local authority.
