Vol. 361 No. 4

Written Answers. - Repayment of Income Tax Arrears.

52.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will allow an old age pensioner (details supplied) in County Wexford to make payment of arrears of income tax over a period of years at a weekly rate.

The taxpayer in question will be allowed to pay the arrears at a weekly rate or at other suitable intervals. The Revenue Commissioners will arrange to discuss with the taxpayer the period of time over which the arrears should be paid. Whatever arrangement is made will have to be subject to future liability being paid when it becomes due.
