Vol. 361 No. 4

Written Answers. - Recognition of All-Irish School.

128.

asked the Minister for Education if she will consider the request contained in the documentation sent to her in relation to the all-Irish school referred to in correspondence (details supplied) and if she will give sympathetic consideration to this request.

Following its decision on 29 July 1985 to grant provisional recognition to the all-Irish school referred to by the Deputy, my Department sanctioned a grant towards the cost of improvement works to temporary accommodation which the school authorities had acquired. The school has not been satisfied with the level of the grant offered, and it is proposed to have consultations with a view to establishing whether a more generous level of grant is warranted in this case.
