The request by Ardee Town Commissioners for my consent to their proposal to dispose of the land in question to Louth County Council is at present the subject of correspondence between my Department and the commissioners. The proposal raises a number of complex legal issues including the question of whether there are market rights attaching to the property. I can assure the Deputy that there will be no avoidable delay on my part in the further processing of the case and in its final determination.
