Vol. 361 No. 5

Written Answers. - Offaly Bridge.

91.

asked the Minister for Finance the present position in regard to the provision of a new bridge at Coole, Ferbane, County Offaly; if he is aware of the inconvenience caused to farmers by the absence of this bridge; and the up-to-date position in the matter.

As I have already indicated to the Deputy, the necessity to restore access facilities to lands in the area in question is recognised. Contract documents for a new bridge are being prepared by the Commissioners of Public Works and it is expected that these, together with some necessary further on-site investigations, will be completed next spring with a view to having the works put in hands in the summer of 1986.
