asked the Minister for Justice which divisions of the Garda Síochána have appointed a controller in accordance with the framework for co-ordinated response to major emergencies.

Limerick East): Garda divisions are divided into districts, each of which is under the control of a superintendent who is the district officer. I am informed by the Garda authorities that each district officer is designated as the controller of Garda activities at the scene of a major emergency in his district.
