The commencement of the proposed building work on Waterford national school depended on the production of a good title to the additional land which the school authorities had to acquire by way of site extension. The Chief State Solicitor, who is my Department's legal adviser in these matters, has now declared the title to be in order, and the question of authorisation to place a contract for the project is under consideration. My Department will communicate a decision to the school authorities as soon as possible.
