— (The Taoiseach.)

I call on Deputy Hilliard.

We in Fianna Fáil——

I am calling on Deputy Hilliard.

(Interruptions.)

I want to say that because of this lamentable failure on the part of the Taoiseach we on this side of the House give you notice that we are moving a vote of no confidence in the Government.

Deputy Wilson should not advise Deputy Hilliard to disobey the Chair.

I did not speak at all.

The Deputy told him to sit down. I saw him. I am surprised at Deputy Wilson.

I am calling Deputy Hilliard.

I did not speak at all.

The Deputy told him to sit down. I saw him. That is not nice.

I am calling on Deputy Hilliard on item No. 22.

It is very sad.

You are bringing democracy in Ireland into disrepute.

Order, please.

Order, please. I am calling on Deputy Hilliard.

(Interruptions.)

Off you go.

(Interruptions.)

As I was saying, I wish to put on the record of the House that the Minister for Finance is still not in the House — the former Minister.

Where is the Minister for Finance?

He has gone away, but he cannot hide.

Who is the Minister for Finance and where is he?

Well done, long overdue.

(Interruptions.)

Deputy Hilliard has been given permission to speak and should be allowed to speak.

Where are they gone?

(Interruptions.)

On a point of order, could I raise the question that this debate is in the name of the ex-Minister for Finance?

Deputies

Hear, hear.

Am I entitled to contribute to it? The motion has now been changed.

Is that in order?

Am I in order? I want to know.

The Deputy is quite in order.

The motion is in the name of Deputy Alan Dukes.

I am ruling that the motion is in order and that the Deputy is in order.

(Interruptions.)

The sitting is suspended until 5 p.m.

Sitting suspended at 4.57 p.m. and resumed at 5 p.m.
