Vol. 363 No. 12

Written Answers. - Clonmel Cable Television.

57.

asked the Minister for Communications when cable television will be provided at Clonmel; the plans of the company (details supplied) for the completion of the project; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The cable company state that work on the trunk route to bring the television signal into Clonmel has already started and that it is expected to be completed within the next six to eight weeks. Cabling of households will commence thereafter. The company have intimated that they are anxious to have the whole town serviced in the quickest time possible. I am informed that the company recently met officials of Clonmel Corporation to outline their plans for cabling Clonmel.
