Vol. 363 No. 12

Written Answers. - Redundancy Payment.

108.

asked the Minister for Labour if he will now arrange to have full redundancy moneys paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny in view of the fact that he has completed the IPI form, returned in to the receiver last November and it has actually been sanctioned by the Tribunal Appeal Court.

As indicated in my reply to Dáil Question No. 115 of 20 November 1985 the person concerned was paid his full statutory redundancy lump sum from the Redundancy and Employers' Insolvency Fund on 21 October 1985.

On 6 January 1986 an application was received by my Department from the receiver of the company for payment from the fund under the Protection of Employees (Employers' Insolvency) Act, 1984, of the entitlements of a number of employees, including the person concerned, in respect of arrears of wages, holiday pay and minimum notice. Payment of the total amount due was made to the receiver on 31 January 1986 for disbursement to the individual employees. If the person concerned has not received payment of the amount due to him, he should now approach the receiver in the matter.
