asked the Minister for Communications if he will give details of all the travel agencies that have collapsed in the past 12 months; the liabilities attached to these collapses; if he will say if they were all bonded; and if all customers affected by the collapses were indemnified.

Any customer of the above travel companies holding an overseas travel contract was covered against loss or liability in the circumstances set out in sections 13 (4) and 18 (1) of the 1982 Act.

2. The grant of a licence under the Act is conditional, inter alia, on the prior provision of a bond.
