Vol. 363 No. 15

Written Answers. - Income Tax Relief.

39.

asked the Minister for Finance if overpayment of tax is being deducted from a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer has not completed a return of income form since 1983-84. The inspector will now issue return forms for the years 1984-85 and 1985-86 and on receipt of those forms, duly completed, the taxpayer's tax affairs will be brought up to date. On the basis of the information available to the inspector, the taxpayer has been granted all the allowances and reliefs to which he is entitled.
