Vol. 363 No. 15

Written Answers. - Health Services Eligibility.

41.

asked the Minister for Health the reason a person (details supplied) in Dublin 9 has been refused a refund of money spent on medication by him during the months of October, November, December and January.

The determination of eligibility for services in individual cases, including eligibility for supply of drugs of charge is a statutory function reserved to the chief executive officer of each health board.

However, I have referred the particular case raised by the Deputy to the chief executive officer of the Eastern Health Board and I have requested that this case be further investigated and I have asked him to communicate with the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
