Vol. 363 No. 15

Written Answers. - Milk Quotas.

75.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the number of dairy farmers who are making deliveries nationally and in County Wexford who are without a quota; and the provisions which exist or are proposed to provide such producers with a permanent quota.

There are no figures available to my Department on the number of farmers delivering milk without a quota. As matters stand at present any such producers have to rely on any flexi-milk available to their co-operative/dairy. There is no way of providing them with permanent quotas other than by making a percentage deduction from other producers generally.
