Vol. 364 No. 2

Written Answers. - Headage Grants.

85.

(Limerick West) asked the Minister for Agriculture the extra cost of extending headage grants and all grants under the EC scheme to parttime farmers who exceed the income limit as presently laid down.

The extra cost to the Exchequer of paying headage grants to all farmers in the disadvantaged areas regardless of their off farm income would be almost £6 million in a full year before EEC recoupment.
