Vol. 364 No. 5

Dublin Transport Authority Bill, 1985: Financial Resolution.

I apologise to the House for not being available immediately before lunchtime when we reached this business. The reason was that there was a bomb scare which caused the evacuation of my Department just as people were trying to contact us about the business.

I move:

That, for the purpose of any Act of the present session to provide for the establishment of a body to be known as Iompras Bhaile Átha Cliath or, in the English language, the Dublin Transport Authority, to define its functions and to provide for related matters and for the designation of busways and for related matters, it is expedient to make provision for the charging and fixing by the Dublin Transport Authority of fees for the licensing, under any Act of the present session to provide as aforesaid, of passenger road services, public service vehicles, their drivers and conductors and public car parks.

Question put and agreed to.
