Vol. 364 No. 8

Written Answers. - Milk Supply Contracts.

53.

asked the Minister for Health if he has requested the Eastern and Southern Health Boards for their opinion on the way in which the continuation of the monopoly operated by the Dublin and Cork Milk Boards affects the tendered price of milk supplied to institutions.

I am satisfied that both the Eastern and the Southern Health Board take care to ensure that contracts to supply milk are awarded to those tenderers who can meet the boards' requirements at the most competitive prices.
