The pilot schemes referred to entailed the application of ground mineral phosphate without lime on certain soils in Connemara. The results of these schemes are at present being assessed by An Foras Talúntais, in consultation with my Department, and in the light of this assessement a decision will be taken as to whether the practice should continue to be grant aided.
