Vol. 364 No. 11

Written Answers. - County Cork Army Camps.

10.

asked the Minister for Defence the number of civilian staff employed at: (a) the camp in Lonnig, Kilworth; and (b) Fitzgerald camp, Aerodrome, Fermoy, for the years 1980 to 1985 inclusive; if there has been a reduction in civilian staff; the proposals he has for recruitment; and if he is aware that fencing and general maintenance is being severely neglected.

As the reply to part of the question is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose to circulate it in the Official Report.

Vacancies for civilian appointments at Kilworth and Fitzgerald camps are filled in so far as the current restrictions on the filling of posts in the public service permit.

Fencing and maintenance at my Department's property at Kilworth and Fermoy are carried out on an on-going basis as required.
