Vol. 365 No. 4

Written Answers. - Edenmore (Dublin) Health Centre.

14.

asked the Minister for Health if he is aware of the unsatisfactory condition of the Edenmore health centre, community care area 8; if it is intended to replace this health centre with a new building; when it is expected that work on this project will start; and the stage plans for this project, if any, have reached.

The health centre at Edenmore, Dublin 5, is a prefabricated terrapin building erected in 1968. It is of adequate size to accommodate the clinical requirements of the area it serves. However, because of its age and form of construction, it is reaching the end of its useful life and maintenance is becoming increasingly difficult. The Eastern Health Board intends to replace the health centre with a permanent building on the same site as soon as funds permit.
