Vol. 365 No. 7

Written Answers. - County Cavan Out-Fall Watercourse.

87.

asked the Minister for Finance when it is intended to have the out-fall watercourse deepened to allow alleviation of flooding at Kil-crossduff, Shercock, County Cavan.

The deepening of this watercourse could be considered by the Commissioners of Public Works only in the context of a comprehensive arterial drainage scheme for the entire Erne catchment area, in which it is situated. As there are no proposals at present to undertake such a scheme I am not in a position to say when the works requested might be carried out.
