I understand the Deputy to refer to a proposed extension to Vicarstown national school, County Cork. A sketch scheme for the project was prepared recently by my Department's professional advisers and will be issued for consideration by the school authorities at an early date, together with a grant offer.

My Department has received tenders for the proposed new boy's national school at Portlaw, County Waterford and has under consideration the question of placing the contract. My Department hopes to be able to communicate with the school authorities about the matter at an early date.
