Vol. 365 No. 9

Ceisteanna-Questions. Oral Answers. - Employment Appeals Tribunal Finding.

10.

asked the Minister for Labour if he is aware that the Employment Appeals Tribunal finding in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Clare which was heard in August 1984 has not yet been implemented; the proposals he has in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I understand that the case in questions was down for hearing by the Employment Appeals Tribunal on 1 August 1984 but was withdrawn following a settlement between the parties concerned.

In the circumstances, I have had the redundancy entitlement of the person concerned investigated by my Department. This investigation showed that the person in question does not qualify for such entitlement. I will furnish the details to the Deputy at an early date.
